Illegal Alien Caught at Border Found to Be Hezbollah Terrorist Planning Attack on U.S.

U.S. border officials captured a Lebanese national who told agents he was a member of the Hezbollah terrorist group planning to make a deadly bomb for an attack on the U.S.

According to a report from The New York Post, Basel Bassel Ebbadi, 22, was arrested by U.S. Border Patrol agents on March 9 near El Paso, Texas.

Ebbadi’s apprehension was designated a “Significant Arrest” due to an unnerving internal Border Patrol document.

The document said:

“El Paso Sector Intelligence Agents assigned to the Tactical Terrorism Response Team (TTRT) interviewed Basel Bassel EBBADI from Lebanon after he made terroristic threats to personnel at the EP Sector Hardened Facility.’

“Post Miranda, Basel Bassel EBBADI claimed membership to a foreign terrorist organization.”

The document added that medical staff was evaluating Ebbadi and asked him what he was doing in the U.S., to which he responded: “I’m going to try to make a bomb.”

Ebbadi told officials that he had trained with the Iranian-backed Islamic terrorist group Hezbollah for seven years and was an active member involved in guarding the group’s weapons.

He went on to tell officials his training focused on “jihad” and killing people “that were not Muslim.”

He was planning on making his way to New York.

The report ignited notable responses from conservative leaders on X:

Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA) posted:

“Biden’s open border is an open invitation for Iran-backed terrorists to infiltrate our homeland. This will only get worse until Biden secures the border.”

The news comes just weeks after former President Donald Trump made a chilling prediction about an impending terrorist attack on U.S. soil due to the border crisis.

Trump said there is a “100 percent chance” that a terrorist attack will take place on U.S. soil due to the border crisis.

“Under Biden, millions of illegals are now pouring into our country, and these include terrorists,” Trump said.

“You have a 100% chance of a major terror attack in the not-too-distant future. It’s a terrible thing to say. … Remember the travel ban?”

“We didn’t take people from countries with the massive terrorism attacks. We don’t want our shopping centers blown up. We don’t want our people destroyed. We don’t want dead children where a family will never be the same.”
