Donald Trump Jr.: They Want the ‘Death Penalty’ for My Father

Donald Trump Jr. raged against the New York civil fraud trial, saying that prosecutors wanted to put his father in jail or give him the death penalty.

New York Attorney General Letitia James sued President Donald Trump and his family, including sons Donald Jr. and Eric, accusing them of frequently inflating Trump’s own net worth and assets by billions of dollars.

Trump dismissed the accusations, accusing prosecutors of engaging in a politically motivated attack to harm his presidential campaign.

Last month, New York City Judge Arthur Engoron issued a partial summary that Trump and his family committed fraud.

Engoron will rule on the charges, as Trump’s legal team did not opt for a jury trial.

Donald Trump Jr. weighed in on the ongoing trial with host Eric Bolling, accusing prosecutors of bias.

“We’ve seen the bias, we’ve seen, you know, Michael Cohen lie under oath, literally get caught, literally perjured himself in front of— you know, admitted perjury beyond what he already went to prison for,” Trump Jr. told Newsmax.

“It shows you what happens when you’re in a kangaroo court, Eric.”

“It doesn’t matter what the rules are, it doesn’t matter what the Constitution says, it doesn’t matter what general practices and business would be,’ he said.

“It doesn’t matter. They have a narrative, they have an end goal, and they’ll do whatever it takes to get there.”

The younger Trump continued claiming that the legal system is ignoring accusations against President Joe Biden while focusing on his father.

“You know, those are all reasonable questions and yet no one asks them,” he said.

“Our mainstream media, the people in D.C., unwilling to ask it, but they want to throw Trump in jail for a thousand years and/or the death penalty.”

“Truly sick stuff, but this is why we fight.”

Despite the political attacks against Trump, Droves of Republican Party megadonors are coalescing around the candidacy of Trump.

With less than three months until voters begin casting ballots, some big donors told NBC News that they now feel that Trump will ultimately become the nominee.

Megadonor Ed Broyhill, who was Trump’s finance chair in 2020 in North Carolina, told the network he was seeking an alternative to Trump. Still, he now believes the only hope to defeat President Joe Biden next November is supporting the former president.

“There is no doubt in my mind that Donald Trump will be the nominee of our party,” Broyhill told NBC News. “The grassroots are a solid foundation for Donald Trump.”

Broyhill said he considered supporting DeSantis and Pence, but is back in Trump’s camp.

“I have met with all the candidates,” Broyhill said. “None are close to the level of support Trump has.”

Broyhill supported Trump’s 2016 and 2020 bids.
