Amid photos of US lawmakers in bikini going viral on social media, users have particularly taken note of a tattoo on US House Representative Lauren Bobert’s stomach. The tattoo can be seen on the side of her stomach in a photo shared by fellow GOP Representative Matt Gaetz, who posted a series of photos of ‘patriots’ wearing bikinis.

The trend was started by another Republican lawmaker, Anna Paulina Luna, who modeled in a MAGA bikini and the pictures were circulating on social media. Shortly after Luna’s photos sparked a controversy, Gaetz posted a series of photos of Republican women ‘patriots.’ The Daily Mail described the photos as ‘thirst trap style.’

‘We love confident, healthy, patriotic women like Lauren,’ the post by Ginger Gaetz read. The Mail reported that Ginger and Boebert recently hosted a ‘Hot Girl Summer’ happy hour with the DC chapter of the Young Republicans.

Boebert, who was elected in 2021 from Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District, is fighting this time from Colorado’s 4th congressional district. She won the Republican primaries in July 2024 and will be challenged by Trisha Calvarese of the Democratic Party.

Trump, meanwhile, has intensified his criticism of Kamala Harris as he addressed reporters at the New Jersey golf club, accusing her of wanting to transform the US into a “communist-type country.”

This claim is based on her past support for Bernie Sanders’ “Medicare for All” proposal, the Associated Press reported, although she has since distanced herself from it.

During the 2020 campaign, the Biden-Harris ticket supported a “public option” in addition to private insurance, which would not eliminate private health care, contrary to Trump’s claims
