US-Backed Ukrainian Agency Releases New ‘Enemies List,’ Including Prominent American Figures

A Ukrainian publication, affiliated with the US government, has published a controversial report labeling hundreds of Americans as enemies for opposing further aid to Ukraine.

The US government-affiliated Ukrainian publication, Data Journalism Agency (TEXTY), has released a report identifying hundreds of prominent American individuals and organizations as enemies for their opposition to sending more US aid to Ukraine. This development has sparked significant controversy.

The report, titled “Roller Coaster: From Trumpists to Communists,” accuses American politicians, journalists, and social media influencers of echoing Russian propaganda aimed at depriving Ukrainians of Western support. “Most of the people in our study do not have direct, proven ties to the Russian government or propagandists. However, the arguments they use to urge authorities to distance themselves from Ukraine echo key messages of Russian propaganda,” the report states.

The list includes notable American figures such as former President Donald Trump, Sen. Rand Paul, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, and Rep. Jim Jordan. The report also features organizations and media outlets, including the Ron Paul Institute and Antiwar.com.

In response to the publication, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken labeled the release as “a troubling development.” The implications of this report are broad, as it includes accusations that may impact diplomatic relations and public opinion.

Despite the report’s claim to debunk disinformation about Ukraine, it itself has been criticized for spreading misinformation. For example, the report dismisses concerns about Nazi influence in Ukraine and American-funded biolabs as debunked myths, despite ongoing debates in mainstream media. NBC News and Newsweek have both reported on extremist elements in Ukraine, while the New York Post discussed Hunter Biden’s involvement in funding biolabs in Ukraine.

Victoria Nuland, a senior US official, has also acknowledged the presence of biolabs in Ukraine during a Senate hearing. Moreover, her infamous phone call with US Ambassador Geoffrey Pyatt further fuels claims about US involvement in the 2014 Maidan events, which some argue was a coup rather than a revolution.

The report lists 391 individuals and 76 organizations, claiming that they impede aid to Ukraine. It highlights the complex web of political, media, and public opinion influencers in the US, and the contentious nature of their involvement in foreign policy discussions.

Adding to the controversy, TEXTY’s affiliation with the US government through initiatives like the TechCamp project and its role as an Implementing Partner of the US Agency for International Development’s TAPAS Project, raises questions about the implications of using US taxpayer dollars for such reports.

The publication’s alignment with other contentious Ukrainian lists, such as the Mirotvorets Center’s “kill list,” further exacerbates concerns. The Mirotvorets list has been linked to targeted killings, including that of Russian journalist Daria Dugina.

The reaction of American political figures to their inclusion on this list and the use of US funds for such purposes remains to be seen.

Perhaps what is most shocking about this attack on American citizens is the fact that the Data Journalism Agency (TEXTY) has a long affiliation with the US Government itself! In fact, the founder of the publication Anatoly Bondarenko appears prominently on a US Government website as a participant in the US State Department’s “TechCamp” project. The Data Journalism Agency (TEXTY) is listed as an “Implementing Partner” of the US Agency for International Development’s Transparency and Accountability in Public Administration and Services/ TAPAS Project.

The Ukrainians seemingly love to make lists of their “enemies.” One of their most notorious of these is the infamous “kill list” put out by the Mirotvorets Center in Kiev. From that list several have already been murdered by Ukraine, including prominent Russian journalist Daria Dugina.

One wonders how, for example, former US President Donald Trump and dozens of members of the US Congress will react when they hear that US tax dollars are being sent to Ukraine for US-backed Ukrainian organizations to make “hate lists” and “kill lists” of patriotic Americans like themselves.

Commentator Robby Starbuck chimed in on X; “This is insane. A Ukrainian NGO just put out an enemies list that includes US citizens. This list blames us for Ukraine’s issues on the battlefield,” adding “Here’s where it gets crazy… The founder of this NGO (http://Texty.org.ua) was TRAINED by the US State Department.

The NGO also received US funds. This is beyond unacceptable. Not only are we being forced to fund a meat grinder killing countless young men and women when peace could’ve been attained but now that country that’s been taking our money has a group targeting US citizens AND the US government trained their founder!” he continued.

Even more disturbing is the NGO’s list targeting journalists. Some of those names include Tucker Carlson, Matt Taibbi, Glenn Greenwald, and Alex Jones. Oh, and as we mentioned above, ZeroHedge.

US-Backed Ukrainian Agency Releases New ‘Enemies List,

At the end of the report, the NGO wrote, “We value and respect freedom of speech, which is a necessary prerequisite for the existence of a democratic society.”

Now, that’s laughable, considering the US-government-affiliated NGO’s enemies list targets mainly American conservatives, most of which are seen as political opponents of the Biden administration.

Here’s the US affiliation…

On X, Starbuck asked: “Hey @SpeakerJohnson , are you going to call Zelensky about this? How about the State Dept? Will you cut funding? Any consequences at all? People want answers.”

Oh but wait, after this began going viral on social media, they added a disclaimer to say that it’s neither “a list of enemies of Ukraine” nor a “kill-list.”
