CCP Linked to Anti-Israel Protests on US Campuses in New Report

A report published by the Network Contagion Research Institute last week analyzed the international donor networks behind anti-Israel protests in the US—and according to the findings, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is deeply involved.

The NCRI analyzed the group known as Shut It Down for Palestine (SID4P) and its connection to the Singham Network donor portfolio. SID4P is described as “an anti-capitalist, anti-police, and anti-government protest movement that emerged after October 7, 2023.” The report details how members of the organization are also members of the Singham Network. The latter is described as “a global web of nonprofits, fiscal sponsors, and alternative news sources tied to Neville Roy Singham, a known conduit for CCP geopolitical influence.”

An extensive history of Singham’s involvement in the American left since the 1970s is outlined. In 2023, Singham attended a strategic communications event organized by the CCP in Shanghai. Singham’s ties with the Chinese government are extensive, including ownership of at least two major Chinese companies.

The 70-year-old businessman founded and then sold the tech company Thoughtworks. He is a self-described socialist and was investigated by the FBI in 1974 for being “potentially dangerous because of background, emotional instabilities, or activity in groups engaged in activities inimical to the US.” (Influence Watch provides more information on his background.)

One of the organizations under the SID4P banner is National Students for Justice in Palestine, which boasts of “350 Palestine solidarity organizations across occupied Turtle Island (‘North America’)” on their website. Given their ideological opposition to what they deem to be colonialism, referring to North America as occupied suggests they wish to overthrow all current governments on the continent.

Various groups’ resistance literature reveals a direct pipeline to George Soros and other left-wing dark money entities. The groups have made headlines since October 2023 for numerous campus protests across the US. Columbia opted to cancel their graduation ceremony, the encampment at NYU was forcibly cleared by NYPD, and many other Universities have dealt with related protests.

The Network Contagion Research Institute describes themselves as a “neutral and independent organization whose mission is to identify and forecast cyber-social threats.”

As the funding network behind the US Palestine protest becomes clearer, it becomes increasingly apparent that the movement is not being run by organic grassroots operations.
